Press Release Body: Waitsfield, VT - The organization which delivers professional opera to the hills of Vermont via the Green Mountain Opera Festival announces late summer and early fall cultural events in Vermont\'s Mad River Valley. Located at the Round Barn Farm, specifically in the lovingly restored Joslyn Round Barn, the Green Mountain Cultural Center has been promoting visual, performing, and culinary arts for over 18 years and continues the tradition with photography, music, and visual art this August, September, and October.

As world renowned opera singers, costume designers, and orchestra conductors leave the Green Mountains upon the conclusion of the Green Mountain Opera Festival, photography exhibits from across Vermont and New England make their way to the Round Barn Farm for the 18th Annual Photography Exhibit. The exhibit is the official kick-off to the Vermont Festival of the Arts (www.vermontartfest.com) and features over 185 photographs by over 60 photographers. Beautifully displayed in the Joslyn Round Barn, the exhibit is open to the public with a $3.00 suggested donation throughout the month of August. The exhibit opens Monday, August 4 and concludes Sunday, August 31. Hours are 9:30 am to 5:00 pm daily with occasional exceptions for private events. More information is available at www.theroundbarn.com/cultural.htm.

The night before the exhibit opens, a sneak peek can be had if attending the annual Adamant Music School Concert, traditionally held in the Joslyn Round Barn every year prior to the opening of the Photography Exhibit. Piano students from the Adamant Music School perform their final concert of the season on Sunday, August 3 at 7:30 pm. The Adamant Music School offers non-competitive piano study in an atmosphere of cooperative living. Tickets are available by calling 802-496-7722 and more information on the school is available at www.adamant.org.
